Reza Mahrou, M.D. & Amir Rafizad, M.D.

Dr. Mahrou specializes in Pain Management, and he has a background in Anesthesiology & Surgery. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA Health Sciences Center and holds board certifications in both Anesthesiology & pain management. He is actively involved in state, and national societies of interventional Pain management as well as regional Anesthesia. Following completion of surgical training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, Dr Mahrou finished his residency in Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care at UCLA Medical Center. He Subsequently completed his fellowship in Pain Management in UCLA in conjuction with the UCLA Comprehensive Spine Center

Dr Mahrou Co-Founded Pain Care Providers with Dr. Amir Rafizad. Their goal is to present the best in pain management to their patients and offer individualized treatment plans that not only control pain, but improve function as well as quality of life. Dr. Mahrou continues to teach residents and fellows as a UCLA Assistant Clinical Professor and through his involvement as a part time faculty at the VA Health Care System in West Los Angeles

Dr. Rafizad is board certified in Pain Medicine & Anesthesiology. In addition, He also specializes in Pain Management, with extensive background in Medicine. After finishing his transitional internship training at Cook County Hospital, Dr. Rafizad enrolled in Anesthesiology training in that program. Dr Rafizad was honored as Chief Resident and Researcher of the year during last year of his training . Being trained and inspired by Dr. Alan P.Winnie, one of the founding fathers of the society of pain management and regional anesthesia, greatly influenced his interest in Pain Management as subspecialty. Dr Rafizad then completed his fellowship training in Pain Management at UCLA Medical Center under direct leadership of president of the society of Pain Management and regional Anesthesia. Dr. Rafizad co-founded Pain Care Providers with Dr. Mahrou in Orange County. Everyday, he helps many visiting patients redicsover relief, while still serving “West LosAngeles Veterans Affarint Medical Center” as attending staff for Pain Management and Anesthesiology.
